No, no evidence to support the routine use of PPIs or H2 blocker for gastroenteritis.
In contrary, some studies suggested that the use of PPIs may lead to increased risk of bacterial gastroenteritis.
So, I prefere reserve it’s use for concurrent valid indications like GERD for example.
