Hypertonic Saline 3% is indicated for Bronchiolitis, viral (mild to moderate, inpatient) and Cystic Fibrosis for Infants and children: the dose is 4 ml

every 2 hrs. for 3 doses.

Then every 4 hrs. for 5 doses.

Then every 6 hrs.

Other trials using doses of 2 to 4 mL every 6 hours have shown no benefit.
