1. RTA (Road Traffic Accident) and
FFH (Fall from Height)

• Common infections: Open wounds, fractures, soft tissue infections.
• Likely pathogens: Skin flora (e.g., Staphylococcus aureus), environmental organisms.
• Empirical antibiotic:
  • IV Cefazolin (for clean open fractures or soft tissue injury).
  • Add Metronidazole or switch to Pip-Tazo if contamination is suspected (soil, road dirt).
  • Vancomycin may be added if MRSA is a concern.
  • If neurosurgical intervention needed (e.g., head trauma): Consider Ceftriaxone ± Vancomycin for meningitis/brain abscess prophylaxis
