When calculating drug doses for children with cerebral palsy (CP), dosing is usually based on actual body weight (mg/kg) unless otherwise specified, even if the weight is much lower than the expected for age (as is common in CP patients).

Nitazoxanide dose is age based, not weight based.
However, you can adjust the dose by BSA or IBW.
