In Gast-Reg pamphlet, there is a dose for children starting from 2 years, Is it correct to use it before 12 y old?

Many sources recommend against its use under 12 years, but it’s merely a recommendation.
I see no contraindication to use it under 12 years old, however I prefer not to use it broadly for all patients.
Regarding the dose, I see no problem to use the doses recommended by the manufacturer.
